Shortboards
Short boards are typically between 5 to 7 feet in length, making them shorter than other types of surfboards. Shortboards are designed for advanced or experienced surfers who seek maximum performance and the ability to execute quick turns, tricks, and manoeuvres on more powerful waves. They have a narrow width, pointed nose, and a thinner profile, allowing for increased speed, responsiveness, and better control in critical sections of the wave. Shortboards require a higher level of skill and technique to ride effectively, as they are less stable and require more precise weight distribution and footwork.
